Publix Plots a Web-based Planogram Portal

Sept 4, 2008

Publix Super Markets is making sure its store maps can get in the hands of everyone in the organization that needs them in a timely manner, thanks to an upgrade of its planogram management and distribution via Apollo Web Publisher from Information Resources, Inc.

The Lakeland, Fla.-based grocer said it is integrating the tool into its internal merchandising systems to serve as a companywide portal for planogram information. The Apollo Web Publisher software distributes planograms to stores for associates and reset teams. The new Web-based tool will allow Publix to deliver the right planogram to the right store, and improve its "speed to shelf" of new items.

Publix said it will use Apollo Web Publisher to help with compliance and in-store execution by gaining instant access to targeted planograms, even in remote locations.

Chicago-based Information Resources, Inc. provides enterprise market information solutions and services in the consumer packaged goods, retail and healthcare industries.
